The place in Aqaba to dive, snorkel, swim! I went snorkeling and see some of the underwaterworld in the southbeach and protected marina park! It's a good experience, because you can go by boat with tourists and Jordanian people and make some new friends!!!

It is great that the Marine Park was established as my Jordanian friends say that the place was going to wrack and ruin before it was established. The problem though is a fairly typical one -- the initial capital investment in facilities has not been followed up with on-going maintenance and development. The toilets are rather scary, the parking unorganised... More

The resorts at Tala Bay keep their area clean, and swimming in the Red Sea is quite pleasant, but you can see the rubbish piled up right at their edges. I did a snorkelling tour and there's a nice wreck and some decent coral and lots of fish, with excellent visibility, but when you get close to the public beaches... More

Very nice place for diving. Corals and other marine life intact, but: lots of bottles, cans, plastic bags etc. both on the beach (nobody seems to use the trash bins) and underwater.

It is amazing to dive down to see the underwater tank! It is just a bit off the beach, it is very swimmable!!! You dont even need a tank to dive down there! However, everything is kind of nice except the trash is almost everywhere, so it is quite dirty! I actually can see the potential of this place, if... More

A Taxi from Aqaba city centre was $6.00JD, was a little disappointed as there was not much..if anything I could find open. However a walk along the beach & swim in the Red Sea, I was happy. Thought I had researched all info, guess I was wrong. Am sure it would of been interesting.

The Aqaba Marine Park is located south of the city of Aqaba. The park is about 7 km in length, stretching from the Passenger Terminal in the North to the Police Officers’ Club in the South. The park’s terrestrial boundary lies 50 m East of the Mean High Water Mark and the marine boundary lies 350m West of the Mean... More

The good points the coral reefs are just amazing and easily accessible straight from the beach , Very clear water and great visibility underwater We left our stuff tied under a brolly for hours while we snorkelled without any problem The inshore reefs were marked out with rope and buoys to keep boats out and stop damage There is a...
