Meijo Park is a public park on the other side of the moat from Nagoya Castle but too far a walk from the castle grounds. Probably as large as and much less crowded than Tsuruma Park during sakura season. A great place to unwind or picnic before/after visiting hectic Nagoya Castle. One of the coolest things is a big Dutch... More

Great place to relax and view the cherry blossoms, bring a plastic tarp or something to sit on, pack a Japanese bento lunch and bring a few chi hi to drink. Very relaxed atmosphere with everyone else doing the same thing, and everyone is doing the same thing, so enjoy the view of Nagoya castle and layback and feel the... More

Meijo park is located on the course of NAGOYA Women's Marathon. When you make a start from this park, you can cover the part of 25-35km,which goes downhill or uphill.I hope the view of Nagoya castle encourages you.

Me know park is huge. It has different facilities. Including a play ground and a pond. It offers free weird bicycle to ride them around the park. It's close to the subway station. And it is few minutes away from Nagoya castle.

A beautiful castle as well as the massive big park. It snowed when I was there n great for picture taking. Very clean... More

Really beautiful during spring time, though i didn't manage to capture fully bloomed cherry blossom. Recommended to give Nagoya Castle a visit which is just right across! You may wish... More

The park is located just south side of the Nagoya castle and provides good space for sports minded place. It got a nice track for jiggers and cyclists. There is flower center and small pond. Good to take a rest after the castle visit. In summer, there is a public pool on the north side.
