Literally almost 100 folks of all ages flock here to play Pokemon Go! My usual power walking route...since Pokemon I've taken a different route.. Must visit location on the foot of Mt.Kinka..the cable cars are nearby to go up to Gifu Caste and Squirrel Sanctuary.

There's no shortage of beautiful scenery in Japan, but this space is so exceptionally tranquil and beautifully maintained that it stands out as one of the most beautiful landscapes we had the pleasure of enjoying. It is a place we hope to return to during our next visit and would highly recommend!

Small but nice garden near Kinka mountain. Worth spending 10 minutes or stopping by for some snacks.. Has a museum inside.

This was my local park when I lived in Gifu. It was a really beautiful place to spend the spring/summer days relaxing and watching the world go by.

Gifu-koen is quiet and well kept with some ponds, a fountain, lots of trees and is home to the cable car station giving access to Mount Kinka. It's not a patch on some of the gardens i've visited, but still makes for a nice place to wander. Has a weird insect museum too. Free to get in and Y210 on... More

I didn't know there are the place where the politician Taisuke Itagaki (1837-1919) was stabbed to serious injury by the ruffian during his speech. The following message that he uttered at that time is well-known to people. As if I was stabbed to death, democracy never be killed. I like this park that is quiet and in good state of... More

There is really nothing much at this part. There is a insert museum, a few trees, a few small food outlets, and a rope way station to the Gifu Palace, nothing else to offer.

Quiet, Well kept and very pleasant to walk through. Japanese to me are places that please the eye and stir the senses just as Gifu Park does.
