Sushi Seafood Market Kanazawa, Omicho was a delight to visit, the noise, the atmosphere & the food. I enjoyed a terrific lunch with edible gold leaf sprinkled on my sashimi.

Since it was winter, we got to oogle at some really huge snow crabs, some still wriggling, and oysters. Some stalls even cook the seafood you purchase on the spot. We had some wonderful sea urchin straight from the... More

Although this place is not English friendly, you can feel the local liveliness in the market. You can find many fish markets.

I always make point of whenever possible visiting the local fish market if there is one. With Omicho market being within a ten minute walk of our hotel I made sure I visited Omicho. Unfortunately we did not manage togged there until around lunchtime so most of the fishmongers had completed their preparation work which is something I am interested... More

We have been to many markets in Japan and this market was under whelming. Lots of delicious seafood, mainly crabs, and fresh produce but not as good as i expected.

I loved walking through the market and seeing the amazing sources for fine Japanese cuisine. You'll find here unique seafood and amazing vegetables. I went twice through the market: before it was fully opened to the public and sellers were setting up, and later when it was opened. If you go before it's opened to the public (9 am), a... More

Nice place to visit. Will see and may try some king craps, row shrimp and fresh oyster. Like any central market around the world.
