The castle is very quiet on a hot summer day but it is very beautiful. There is a very nice air conditioning rest room where you can look at the castle

A well-preserved samurai castle from the Edo era. Its sizeable area is completed with beautiful gardens surrounding the castle. We did not have a chance to enter the hall/museum, bit enjoying the ambience of this castle.

Spent an afternoon going through the grounds and building. It's a good way to examine early Japanese woodworking joinery. Be sure to visit the small annex room which has some samples of how they build the joinery.

It is a must see attraction in Kanazawa. Just across from Kenroku-en garden, the castle is a trip back in time. I would recommend hiring a guide to listen to the history of the place.

A very interesting site. I didn't realise that all the interiors were newly restored. The best views are from the outside and surrounding grounds. Make use of the rest houses on a hot day.

Wonderful castle that gives new meaning to the idea of living large. Super large castle nestled in a beautiful park.
