After a walk to a well kept garden one reaches the castle which is of a considerable size. Interesting exhibits, but not an original building. Many of the castles have been restored and this is one of them. Worthwhile a visit though.

Don't miss this because all tourists go to the famous gardens and this is next door to it. One of the better preserved castles in Japanese style, though I believe it has been restored to it's former glory.

Walked the grounds and went into the castle buildings. Beautifully restored and really gives a sense of how it was. The views from the tower of the grounds and city are great, and the displays of how it was put together very informative.

This Castle is next to the Kenroku-en Gardens. It is a majestic white castle perched on the hilltop, and surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Well worth a visit to wander the grounds even if you don't get into the castle itself. Lots of different garden "rooms" and lookout spots around the walls.
