Such a lovely little Shinto shrine in the hearty of the bustling city. The gardens on the right hand side are gorgeous with bridges and temples set amongst them. The colours in autumn were incredible. A great spot to relax for a while away from the chaos of the city streets.

Just the shinto shrine. However, I be there at this new year holiday, the shrine was full with people and fair. Many food stalls and game booths.

The Oyama Shrine gate originally guarded the entrance of Kanazawa Castle, and was later moved to Oyama Shrine. It's in the heart of the city and worth an hour of your time.

Didn't expect much, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Very few people, mostly locals. Quiet and a bit mysterious, and the garden was gorgeous (prettier than some paid gardens)! Very pretty autumn colours and the way the place is so quiet and not as well kept adds some mysterious feel to it. The boards/makeshift bridges look a... More

Stumbled upon this place by accident, and very glad that we did. It's beautiful and serene. It has a koi pond where you can just chill and feed the fishes.

Although right in the heart of the city once inside the gardens you almost forget where you are. It is also quite popular for locals and tourists alike so visit early morning.

We found thia shrine on our way to the market, and enjoyed it a lot. It ia not very famous, and therefore not crowded, but it is simply beautiful.

This was just along from our hotel and was great to find it on our first day just walking. Take time to do it justice, though it's a smallish area there's few things to see and take in. Sculpture is beautiful.

good place to take a walk at night. Its gate is so beautiful because of the colorful glasses and lights. of course, also good in daytime.
