We visited here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Lot of places for a quick snack and plenty of other shops with all sorts of items. Easy to fins and fun time visit.

heard it's famous so we pay a visit, and it's actually a short quiet street with interesting local shops selling handicrafts & snacks. Quite street but we love it, not crowded at all. There's some cafes but we only bought snacks from the local shops.

It was a small street with short distance, selling food and souvenirs. There was a shrine when you walk almost to the end. Interesting street for a short walk. It's hard to miss this street while you are walking from the train station to Matsumoto Castle.

A very quite street with tiny shops selling handy craft. Some cafe around for a cup of tea to chill out. This is a very short street and the whole stroll will not take up more than 30 mins. Actually nothing much to offer here.

This is a very short section of shops that make you feel as if you were in old Japan, if you ignore the tourist goods on display. It's not the items for sale that are important, it's the feeling you get of the history as you walk the path between the shops. With a little imagination you can visualize what... More

I can count the number of shops open with my fingers on first glance. Went at 12 noon, the number of shops open were really few and the number of shoppers are really few as well, But the shops do have lotsa crafts and cutey stuff ( frogs related ) but street food = 0. Overal, a fast half hour... More

Nawate street is like a real Japanese old street ... when you go through this street then you will find Japanese small shops and restaurant with some traditional sweets , rice crackers & some kind of antique & crafts.
