It is quite a climb to get there. There is a main shrine and some smaller ones as well as a visitor's center. There also appear to be guides available although I am not sure if they offer a tour in English. The detailed artwork...More

We visited on a Tue afternoon after we went up to Mount Tsukuba. The shrine was about to close and we were the only visitors. I felt peaceful there. The architecture is nice and the place is beautiful.

Nothing special. Same as other Shrines. It is nice to go through to get to the Tsukuba Mountain Cable Car. Lots of stairs. Naritasan Temple was better and bigger.

This is a very nice ancient shrine near the base of Mount Tsukuba. If you are going to Mount Tsukuba anyway, I recommend stopping for a short visit to the shrine. The architecture is quite interesting.
