The photos speak for themselves. I am unable to comment on the view in other seasons but it was certainly amazing in autumn. The bus is pretty convenient to get here as it's about a 5 min walk from the bus stop.

We drove past it several times in our rental car without realizing that the expansive rolling green field was Sengokuhara. A tiny sign by the road said, "Please protect the swamp forest." That was it! No other signs, not even a car park. I can...More

From various literature, it was said to be a place where beautiful grass scenery could be seen and walked through. First of all, it was extremely hard to get there. The bus (board with Hakone Free pass on a week day) was full of people...More

There is a direct bus to reach the location. Once you arrive you will see huge field filled with suzuki grass. Be careful because the wind is quite strong in here. I recommend you to bring a scarf. Though I'm not so sure what it...More

The pampas fields are lovely....but you can see them just as easily from the road as you take the bus past them. Unless you're super into nature photography, the view from the bus is fine.

Little field lost in the middle of nowhere. No admission fee. A mere 30m from the bus stop. About 10' from the boat by bus. First impression: it's just a field. But then it gets to you, very peaceful and charming. A good 30' spent...More

How this is an attraction somewhat puzzles me. It is certainly a nice walk, and you can take nice pictures, but at the end of the day it is just a mountainside of grass. It seems to be very popular with the Japanese though, so...More

We jumped off the bus to take a short walk through the pampas here. Saw lovely flowers, many birds, and no one there but us. Worth the short detour.
