Too much a do about nothing. We should have expected that this was a huge tourist trap from the shape of the boat!! Yes, the scenery is nice and we barely had time to see Mt. Fuji as it got cloud covered. But the amazing number of tourists makes the whole thing very difficult to handle. Especially during the weekend.

It was 2 hours cruise from rope way station to a jetty where we caught a bus back to Hakone Yumoto station. Nothing spectacular to see.

Took the pirate cruise ship and there is not much of nice scenery along Lake Ashi. Can be quite bored after a few minutes cruise...

We took a cruise on Lake Ashi. The lake is gentle and beautiful, much like the landscape and the Japanese people. Stunning views of the mountains around, and of the beautiful autumn trees. Recommend to do this along with the Hakone Ropeway.

After a hectic day chasing the ropeway, the lake offered some peace with the scenic landscape. The sunset views of the lake with Mt Fuji are especially spectacular if the volcano is not shrouded.

Nice scenery. Stable, cold, not suitable for young children. About 20-25 mins bus ride to hakone yumoto.

A nice lake in which you can cross by boat, there is nothing remarkable about it, except the cold and the views, but it is advisable to visit.

This tour of Lake Ashi by the sightseeing pier is really beautiful. we can take one way or round trip with stoping on 2 other harbours. Spending time on the boat was amazing. And exploring other areas of Hakone was also great.
