This is my second time doing the train, ropeway, gondola, and pirate ship route. The first time I saw nothing but fog. This time -- glorious Mt. Fuji came into view. Magnificent sight. What a difference! So this trip is to be done if the...More

Rustic and scenic railway. It does not travel fast, so check the timetable if you are catching connecting transport.

Lovely old-fashioned little train mounts slowly and confidently. Beautiful views and historic mode of transport. Not too much of excitement 😊

Oh so fun and beautiful scenery. Be prepared if you go to Gora that it will move back and forth to change the rail

Seriously don't waste your time taking this train. It's so boring. U literally don't see anything besides a few trees. And it takes like 20 to 30 minutes to get to the stop to change to the cable car. Nothing special to see from this...More

Clean public transport and connect the ropeway to Gora Park. Save time and pleasant. With Hakone Fuji Pass, it's free.

Take it from Odawara instead of the H bus to Hakone (and possibly beyond). Not sure if it takes longer, but as we did both the bus and the railway (bus coming and train leaving) it gives you a different perspective and views.

A quaint ride around Malone. Part of the round trip. Clean and comfortable as expected from public transport in Japan

1. No point driving to Yumoto; not just about parking but it is more difficult to get there than train. Park at Odawara or any other major train stations where parking is ample. Yumoto is a bustling place with lots of... More
