Excellent placement of amazing pieces kept us all interested despite the temperature and humidity. The variety of the pieces gave us all chance to see a favourite. Would definitely recommend.

Despite record breaking and debilitating heat, this museum was a winner. We went on a whim and loved it. Incredible sculpture outside plus an opportunity to soak your feet outside,

The Hakone Open-Air Museum is no doubt one of the best art museum we've ever visited! Beautiful art pieces are well presented and the visit route is also well thought and planned. Highly recommended for a family day trip and a great place for kids!

Absolutely stunning museum both inside and out!!! Fantastic outdoor sculptures throughout the grounds and an impressive Picasso collection. I could have spent an entire day wondering the grounds and the indoor exhibits. Very, very special. My #1 favorite museum in Japan.
