We walked to china town from the ships wharf at night to see the night lights and eateries.plenty of bright lights and places to eat.Not overly busy,could depend on dayof week.overall ok to see another part of Japan.

Great place to walk around, especially at night when all lanterns are lighting the streets. Very busy on weekends and lot's of restaurants (more than shops!). Very touristy area with locals and Asian tourists in general. Definitively worth a stroll.

If you want to eat Chinese and walk through some shops this is the place to be. Most menus seemed to be the same. Nice area good selection of restaurants and take out. If you are looking for something diffferent it's worth the stop
Not too far from the Martine Tower, Chinatown is easily found and a great shopping area if you just want to hang around Yokohama. From here you can catch a local train to Yokohama Eki and travel the entire country by rail. Would not hesitate...More
