We enjoyed the aquarium and the dolphin show. Very attractive exhibits. Nice seaside setting. Had lunch there. See Marine World first and spend a little time at the park on the other side of the railway. The park admission was free the day we were . Park has a nice walk to the beach.

Busy summer's Sunday morning but we got there early to avoid the traffic jam that was evident when we left after lunch. The displays whilst in Japanese have the fish names in English & direction signs of route to take also. Family I was with patted the dolphins and the show in the main pool with seals and dolphins was... More

Bring so much money and sunscreen while planning to spend the day our on this peninsula. You can get there by ferry, bus, or train if you don't have your car, but that will cost you both time and money. We took the ferry and it ran us $10USD/adult one way. The aquarium was under $20USD/adult if I remember correctly... More

This is a nice place to spend a few hours especially if you're into marine animals. The whale and dolphin show was entertaining enough but it's done in Japanese so you can only watch if you're a tourist. It was cold when we went and I appreciated the fact that the provided heated seat cushions. The aquarium was quite impressive... More

Very impressive collection of exhibits. 4 species of porpoises, seals, sea lions and penguins! That's not including the fish and invertebrate tanks! I did not see any of the shows. I only strolled through the galleries. There was much more than I expected based on other reviews.

Went expecting a normal aquarium but was happy to find the dolphin show in included too. The deep tank has a variety of sharks, rays and fish. Easy enough to get to from Fukuoka proper; two trains from Hakata transferring once at Kashii. ¥2200 entrance and ¥460 each way on the train.

For ¥2200, it's a descent visit. Large tank with several sharks is the main attraction. There is also a dolphin show. Can spend 1-2 hours here easily. There is a ferry that will take you 1 km from hakata station nearby. Just ask the information desk.

Went there by nishitetsu bus from the Tenjin Post-office stop. Train is also available from Hakata Railwaystation. During the holidays so many people went to the Marine World and a long waiting line for the lunch. Local people may take food by themselves and I think it's a wise choice because the lunch sold is not so delicious as I... More

The dolphin show was great, but after that the acquarium is a bit limited. We have seen plenty better. I would have to suggest for those with née teens or teens who have been to some of the great acquariums that they step past this to the adventure park behind. The young preteens can have some great exercise there especially... More
