This Jigoku is famous for its crocodiles. Thanks to hot Onsen water, tropical reptiles can live comfortably in Beppu. Don’t try to touch them! They are more dangerous than Oni monster.

Nothing impressive here. It felt like visiting crocodile farm. We went because we already had the tickets within the bundle. Can give it a miss if you have limited time in Beppu.

Take a picture with the demons for whom this hell is named. Then visit the many crocodiles on display. The heat provides ideal conditions for the crocs to breed.
