The information lady at the station was so helpful, explaining how to get to the places we wanted to see and selling both tickets and a one day bus pass. She made our visit very easy. Her explanations were very clear and detailed.

Beppu tourist info centre has the most number of counter staff. One section is for Japanese and one section is for foreigners and non Japanese speaking tourist. There was a queue at the foreigners' section when we were there. A lady from the Japanese speaking...More

It is a good idea to start your travel in Beppu by making a stop at this station. The man at the station was able to give a lot of advices and answer a lot of our questions in english.

The people here are very friendly and helpful. You can get all the information about the sights, the means of transport , etc. Be sure to obtain combination tickets for the heels and the buses.

You have to go by train to Beppudaigaku. From there a few minutes walk. It is called Beppu Beach Sand and Bath.

Beppu is a small town. I guess you can rent bicycles once you arrived in Beppu.
