Read a lot of review on this resort, good and bad side. This is the most expensive stay at my entire trip. It comes with breakfast and dinner, public Indoor and outdoor onsen, Private onsen and lots more to explore. It is great with one night stay. If you don't have time you can also pay to enjoy the facilities.... More

Read about this resort and decided to book rooms and stayed in the whole day to enjoy the facilities. Definitely a right decision instead of taking their free shuttle bus to town. This resort is expensive so stay in and enjoy. Advisable to pay more to stay in the nicer hanakan block instead of the older honkan block. You get... More

This resort is huge. You can get there from the West exit at Beppu Station, and there is a free purple minivan driving you to the hotel. Make sure to get out at the Palace part, since the resort is so big this is quite some distance from the first stop. Aquapark is good, but the onsens are even better.... More

My GF bullied our group to going to Suginoi Palace so that we could swim in the Aqua Garden onsen pool and I'm so glad she did. It was bananas. The laser light show is like nothing you have ever seen before. The way the light refracts off the water makes everything seem so magical. If you're looking to bring... More

The Aquatic Park is really great. It has a floating station which is a pool in which it is super easy to float on your back. There is 3 representations per night of an amazing laser/music show per. Finally, there is a dry spa where you can massage yourself with salt. It is not a really pleasant experience, but it... More

This is literally the best Onsen I have ever taken in my life! The view was magnificent. It had several huge outdoor pools where guests could enjoyed the scenery leisurely. They also offered sauna, also with view. If you have limited time in Beppu, then I honestly recommend Suginoi Palace. By the way, the entrance fee was 1,500 yen per... More

Sprawling 4.5 Star complex situated on a hill overlooking the city and sea The main outdoor bath is an infinity pool and allows you to recline with a Panoramic View of the city and ocean. The adjacent Pool area hosts both sexes with the same breath taking views.

If you can schedule your stay during the week it will be less busy, as this is a very large resort, it can be a bit overwhelming on weekends. Great views of Beppu bay and the surrounding areas. Many restaurants to choose from, but a little expensive. Most dine at the 800 plus seat buffet, with both Japanese and western... More

Suginoi Palace is an onsen hotel in Beppu. They run a free shuttle service from Beppu JR station to the hotel. Wanted to try the onsen experience but am a little uncomfortable with the nudity aspect of it, so went to Aqua Garden since they allow bathing suits. Aqua Garden is like a swimming pool that uses warm water. It... More

Tanayu onsen is large and modern with indoor and outdoor hot tubs, locker room, and showers (always rinse off first). It's clothing-free and gender separated (English signs mark the 2 sections). Aqua Garden is a very nice outdoor swimming pool area downstairs from the onsen. It's mixed gender and requires swimwear. The water is warm and quite nice even when... More
