We ride a cable car to summit which cost 1600yen for roundtrip, it took less than 20mins. we came in May, the summit surrounded by the pinkish flowers (Rhododendrons). The view was incredible.

Ropeway costs 1600jpy for a return trip, but really worth it. You can have a full view of beppu up there. A must-go attraction, highly recommended.

I'm sure if it was sunny, there's much to see. No discounted rate for the foggy cable car ride up to the mountain. Lot's of bees in the cable car. Until next time, hope we can get some better views up high.

Set in such a beautiful environment. Calm peaceful and charming. 360 panoramic views of Beppu, Oita and around. On a clear day, just so beautiful, plus not too pricey. Well worth it.
