The Stone Path is not for the fainted but totally worth it!! There are traditional houses with tea rooms along the way to rest. There are examples of traditional Okinawan life, at the bottom is a small museum (free) with rare Sake bottle collection. The...More

Absolutely mind blowing! Walking this stone paved 500 year old road gives you an overwhelming sense of being both powerful and masterful at the same time. You'll get out of breath at many points as the road winds its way up and down and the...More

for me this is an interesting must - i never set out to explore the retail parks, rather i want to see and feel a bit of history - the atmosphere in these little back streets definitely takes me back in time; best done on...More

A fascinating place to visit if you enjoy history and photography. There are many information spots along the route that explain the roads significance in local history. A nice self guided walk.

This is located slightly more than 1km from the castle and is a great place to take a slow walk. This is also the path which lead to the 300 year old tree.

This is fascinating walk but much better to walk down than up. We walked down and had plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. Passed others walking up who were too busy with the exertion to really enjoy it.

Take a step back in time with a walk down the old cobblestone street in Shuri. It is very near Shuri Castle, so it is easy to add to your trip. If you go all the way down the road, you will have to hike...More

it is a place that was also not easy to find... but very cool to see. a stone cobbled road in the middle of a residential location. that is historical and yet... functional.

It's a nice enough stone path to walk on, but I wouldn't say it's interesting or picturesque enough to merit being a tourist attraction. I suppose it goes to show how much of the local historic heritage was destroyed during the battle of Okinawa in...More
