I did this in the afternoon (after visiting Megijima in the morning). Took the Kotoden and then the bus to Yashima mountain top. Considered walking up but seems a little difficult to find the way. Didn’t regret taking the bus actually, because even the paved...More

Since it is a bit too far from the centre of Takamatsu city, we took "Udon bus" which took us for two udon shops and in between to Yashima. It was a good and reasonable half-day tour and highly recommended.

We took the bus up. Even though we could read Kanji, the bus schedule was unclear because it wrote something like "buses not operating in December". Maybe our misinterpretation. Up top the view is great, although more information (especially guides in English) about the surrounding...More

Need 3-4 hours to visit as bus from bottom of the mountain is NOT frequent. Taxi to go up costs JPY 1000-1200 and bus is around JPY 200 The temple there is huge and need lots of walking but view overlooking the city is gorgeous.

We got a taxi to drop us off at the very top point of the peninsula (Nagasaki no Hana) and first walked down to the beautiful jungle-y beach where there was only 1 other person (a fisher) on a perfect sunny day. Then we walked...More

Going up to Mt Yashima is definitely worth it for the view. As we were keen to walk, we followed the directions given in another review from 2014 which was very detailed about how to find the path. If you're keen for a good hike...More
