I was initially on my way to find the statue of Sakamoto Ryoma when i found myself at a beautiful beach in front of it. Although the visit to the statue was short, i have spend the rest of my day enjoying the scenery and...More

The whole beach is covered with small rocks, so it is very painful to walk across barefoot. Swimming is not allowed. I am not sure why our tour group stopped here. There are a few gift shops off the parking lot, but they had the...More

It is a very large beach which can be reached by car from Kochi Station in about 30 minutes. If the weather is nice, you will have a comfortable day. The front is the Pacific Ocean. A short walk will bring you to the cutting...More

It is a beach facing the Pacific ocean. So swimming was not allowed when we visited. There are some walks available.

Not much to do in winter but you can still have a good walk along the beach and the view is good. Some shops near the beach are closed during low season

The tourist information center recommended this place and I have 1 day to spare to go somewhere outside the city. About 40 min from the city. The beach is small but beautiful. Expect some climbing but worth it.
