Visiting Mount Bizan is probably the top thing to do when in Tokushima. We went up to the top of the hill via ropeway because we were too lazy to hike. You can enjoy nice views of the city and the mountains of Shikoku. There’s...More

You go to the top of Mt Bizan by cable car, which is itself great fun - it is a modern cable car with excellent viewing. At the top is a stupa, and you have genuinely impressive views of the city, the river estuary and...More

Take the ropeway (cable car) to the top of Mt Bizan for great views over Tokushima. There is a nice walk around the top where you can view different aspects of the countryside. Best views are on a clear day.

Was there 2nd last day of November. Still enjoyed great views of autumn leaves when taking the ropeway. From the summit station, there was a great view of Tokushima city. We enjoyed our visit.

Great views from Mt. Bizan, wished I would have had the rest of the day to explore more. Will come back. Taking the lift up is fun, but would prefer to walk back on my own to save $ in the future.

We drove up and stopped at the first car park, thinking to walk up to Mt Bizan. We stopped to ask an elderly Japanese couple and could fortunately understand that it would take 1 hr +. I then use Google Maps to locate our current...More

We had some extra time in Tokushima and we drove up Mt. Bizan. It was time well spent! The panoramic views are fantastic and in season, the Sakura will be gorgeous. Take some time and enjoy this great little spot.
