Senshu Park offers a beautiful, peaceful place in the city to spend a couple of hours. The Watchtower, at the highest point in the park, hosts a small museum. The 360 panorama from the 4th floor of the tower is awesome, and the cool breeze...More

I never knew there was so much to see here. I guess I never paid much attention before. It was relaxing to sit at the top under the shade...

A nice park to walk around. Worth about 60 to 90 minutes. Wouldn't go out of my way for it unless I was actually in Akita.

Was not able to go inside but was worth the walk. Very tricky too get to in winter but I was glad I made the effort.

We spent several a couple of hours exploring this large park. There are shrines, castle, statues, a lovely pond and a museum. You get excellent views over Akita too. Even though there were several school classes and buses of tourists, the park did not feel...More

This is a castle park pretty close to Akita station. Attractive in all seasons even in the middle of winter. If you go at the right time they have winter lighting events.

This park is good for walking. The park is former Kubota castle. We can enter the castle. Entrance fee is 100 yen. But you can see beautiful Akira city from the top. From there, you can see The Oga peninsula, Japan see, and the...More

Yes, it should be open. I saw pictures people posted when they visited there during winter season
