Visited here a few times on our recent trip to Aomori. Great store with lots of food products from local area and the food and drink options were good quality and tasty. Conveniently located near the main bus station in town.

First of all, I was attracted by its feature of local ciders at its tasting bar (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties available) on the 2/F. You had to purchase a charge card with a specified amount of money on it before you can get drinks from the tasting bar, but it was a pity I hadn't realized that I should... More

Like many boutique food marts this one offers a wide selection of local produce available for purchase, including amongst other things apple chips and juices, ciders, craft products and sweets. A cafe and upstairs restaurant also provide great views of the harbour to enjoy your meal by. The prices are a little higher for many of these items, but the... More

The Japanese don't just sell fresh fruit and juices. No, there's apple chocolate, apple cakes, dried apples, apple cider, apple this and that. Other local produce are also for sale. You won't leave without purchasing something!

The A-Factory has a good range of local produce with an emphasis on Apples, which Aomori is famous for. There is even an apple cidre (that's how they spell it) tasting area.

There is a great coffee shop that make thier own fruitcakes and there is also a burger shop where you can buy lunch. Great for buying small amounts of local food for sampling or formal souvenirs... We have visited the apple products centre by the waterfront of Aomori Bay and it was very close to JR Aomori Station. There were many agricultrual products particularly those relating to "apple" on sale there. A small microw brewery for apple cider beer was was visible to visitors. You could also try the products there at one of the two... More
