We were a little early for full peak, but it was good enough. Around the base of the walls a few weeping trees (Shidarezakura) were fully opened and gorgeous. The castle now is a collection of ramparts and stairs with a lot of open space....More

We were lucky in that the cherry trees were still in bloom. It was very pretty there but wouldn't be much to see out of season. Castle foundations were impressive.

Beautiful gardens and paths to stroll. Great views from the castle grounds. Walk along the stream and admire the fish swimming.
