Amazing monument!

The monument to Panfilov's 28 Guards is really quite something. The eternal flame is great to see and there are some vendors selling drinks and trinkets available.

Zenkov's Cathedral, World War II monument "Feat", Eternal Fire, Museum of Kazakh Musical Instruments and of course penguins (lot's of them, you can take some porridge to feed them - you'll have fun!). In addition, it's a very quiet place where you could only hear birds. + good accessibility.

This park has war memorials, a nice Soviet style military bulding with a war history museum, a cathedral and Instruments Museum. A must see for Almaty visitors.

There are a lot of birds here. You can feed the bird by buy the bird food at the stall beside the Zenkov church.

It's part of all wooden church n central park. Basically reminder of second world war era when Kazakh natives fought for Russia. Sculpture n monuments in memory of warriors. Give good idea about Kazakh history and.culture . A place where one.can.spend.few hours.

From the church to the WW2. From the house of God to Soviet monuments. Just few steps. Do not forget to visit a Museum of Kazakh National music instruments.

Monuments to WWII heroes and 28 heroes of Panilov who sacrificed their lives. Set in the beautiful park, we were there in winter with snow covered trees. Also the Zenkov Cathedral is in the park.

Impressive huge monument to second world war heroes who died protecting Moscow. The sign says “Russia is vast, but there's nowhere to retreat — behind us Moscow.”
