Three parks very close together, Buffalo Springs, Samburu National Park and Shaba National Reserve, with different interesting wildlife. Different nature and different wildlife all within a day drive from each other. We used our own car (4 wheel drive) to do the game-drive and we have seen a wide variety of wildlife, sometimes it is advisable to follow other game-drive... More

This was a great getaway. The park is quite amazing and teeming with wildlife. It was very hot but on safari the wind helps to keep you cool. The vast dry hot plains and the sheer amount of animals, elephant, onyx, geriuk, osterich, zebra, lions, eagles, dikdik , monkeys, baboons, wild dogs, giraffe, thompsons, water buck, leopard Wow. Only went... More

The drought has affected all of the animals in the preserve yet we saw so many of the iconic animals of Africa here.

Could see best of the wildlife here. A lot depends on local drivers , how acquainted they are with the place. Our drivers were very well acquainted to the area, hence would pull through to spot animals, and would communicate within with transmitters to get best info on the spotting. Amazing experience overall.

Sarova Shaba is the place to relax and work especially when you reflect on socio economic aspects of teh arid lands characterised by frequent and more severe drought episodes. We were here to deliberate on livestock market access and trade; natural resources management; pastoralists reisk management and livelihoods support. The hotel staff were extremely frindly.

An excellent reserve crammed with animals. No rhinos here but with lions, leopards, cheetahs, and all the other animals you would want to see on safari, plenty to wet your appetite.

The game reserve shows so terribly much nature that every game drive is one more surprise. The area is rough and dry on one side of the river, green and wetter on the other side. As always, much depends on your guide, but we saw elephants, cheetah, lions, oryx, giraffe, zebra, waterbok, wart hog, impala, girafgazelle in good numbers. Very... More

This forest has a different terrain than Masai Mara and we have a nice experience. Ample photography opportunites we got during our 8 game drives . Afternoons are really hot and we avoided full day safari . Except for Rhino, we saw the Big 4. Lions, Leopard , Elephants, Cheetah ( less in number than Masai) .Yes I shall be... More

Plenty of wildlife to see including cheetah, lion, elephants, oryx, waterbuck, kudu and many more, plenty of bird life. One superb surprise is that Buffalo Springs National Park a joins Samburu and very few guides go in to this park. Well worth telling your guide that you would like to visit it.
