About
Strategically located in the heart of the city and only a stone's throw from the customs and immigration checkpoint, Johor Bahru City Square stands out as a central landmark in JB. With its more than 200 retailers, it offers a host of fashion, entertainment and restaurants. All catered to wow the senses and satisfy the needs. Rush in when the doors open at 10am for breakfast, then head out and start your shopping adventure of clothes, shoes, bags, trinklets, toiletries, electronic toys. Everything the heart desires. Unique to Johor Bahru City Square is the Inner City, an eclectic mix of smallish fashion and accessory shops plus restaurants housed in a tight, quaint setting. Always a firm favorite of the "NOW" generation. After many hours of shopping, rest the feet in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes or indulge in a soothing foot massage, then go on to treat the rest of the body at a salon.

This mall is always very crowded on weekends with the hordes of visitors crossing from Singapore for cheaper items in Malaysia. We visited in Dec 2019, using the mall mainly as a conduit to get across to the Chinatown side. Arriving before 9:30am it was actually closed and we were forced to take a long detour. ON the way back it was open and absolutely jammed with people. If you are fortunate enough to have your own transport I would recommend considering other malls as this one is just too busy.

I was writing today to complain of the buckle sandals (Birkenstock Arizona- Mocha) I bought from Hen Tong Footwear Sdn Bhd located at Johor Bahru City Square on 27th April 2022, 12:20pm.
I remember clearly that the colour I had chosen is stone brown. But it happened in this way that the staff Norliyana Syahira had given me the Mocha brown colour. I was confused with both colours at the first look as they both look similar. But after I checked back the colour code online and find out the colour given to me is not that I want.
Enclosed here a copy of my bill and a picture of that sandals.
I look forward to your immediate reply and a resolution to my problem. I will wait until the end of next week (13 May) before seeking help from a consumer protection agency for investigation. Please contact me at soonghuilin@gmail.com or by phone at +65 82437269.
Thank you for your assistance.

The Johor Bahru City Center Shopping Center has been in business for more than 20 years. It is connected to the Johor Bahru Sentral Station and the Johor Bahru Immigration Checkpoint via an air bridge, making the transportation very convenient. In addition, many well-known restaurants, chain retail stores and supermarkets are stationed here. The line planning is simple and clear, allowing customers to meet their shopping, dining and entertainment needs in one stop. It is very easy to shop, and therefore attracts many local Malaysians and Singaporeans to come here to spend money.

Gave the auntie 50RM for a box of kueh that costs 13RM, she gave back 7RM change insisting that i gave her only 20RM.
I clearly remembered that I gave her 50RM cos I just changed my cash at the money changer and did not use it anywhere else until her stall. She insisted that I gave her 20RM, showed me the whole container with all the cash that there was no 50RM note.
Problem is that she did not use the cash register so there was no record.
Avoid this stall!!!

Strategic and closest to the immigration gate to Singapore. No wonder is the 1st choice for every people who crossed from Singapore to JB.
Well, for me, nothing too special but for foods, this is the mall you gotta go. Other than that, I do not find anything amusing.
Come here and gotta try ORIENTAL (it is a modern coffee shop like Ya Kun or Toast Box in Singapore but with more variety of traditional foods).

So much has been said on the shops, I can only concur that the quantity and quality of the shops are above average. This place is super convenient for it’s connection to JB Customs for Singaporean travel and it’s connection to JB Sentral, as the latter is just opposite. Shopping cannot get more convenient than that, especially since I arrived here from Melaka, which made it a great place to eat after a long trip. There’s so many great options for eating that I also had my brunch here before my onward journey to Singapore.

after cleareance from jb ciq ,it is a good place to stop over for a cup of coffee and have a good meal from some of chinese restarants in the mall. we can also proceed to top up our malaysia hotlink or digi phone card at the mall. when the phone card topup is completed we can go the maybank or uob to make a cash withdrawal from this two banks .Then we can proceed to the highest level where there is cinema showing a varieties of movies where we can enjoy and rest ourselves after a long queue from the ciq

This is the Number 2 attraction in JB after Legoland according to Trip Advisor. Right Next to it is another large mall Komtar which houses the Angry Birds theme park. It’s large and slick but nothing like the malls you see in Orchard Rd in Singapore in terms of crowds and the number of high end outlets. It’s worth a visit if you are in the area but I personally would not go out of my way to come here. There is a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf inside for the coffee lovers like me. And it is right next to the train station connecting JB to Singapore.

Location is great, walking distance from Johor customs. Many retail shops and food outlets in the shopping mall. Not far from Singapore, able to catch a movie at their cinema with CHEAP ticket

Please let me know the fare from KLS mall to Larkin taxi stand ?

Written 20 August 2019
It will better to use Grab. Taxis in JB very seldom use meter although the law requires them to do so. Agree on a price first before you board. It should be around Myr10
Written 20 August 2019
It is a suburban at the north JB city. If you are travelling from JB,with GPS, can consider this 2 routes:1) EDL > Jalan Kempas Lama > Jalan Kulai - Kota Tinggi 2) EDL > Pandan > Ulu Tiram > Jalan Kota Tinggi > Jalan Kulai - Kota Tinggi. Best to travel during day time if this is your first trip. As you might miss the turn even with GPS at night.

Written 30 April 2019
As you didn’t provide the exact location, I can only provide the estimated fare for the taxi. It will be around RM20. You can use Grab.

Any hypermart to buy groceries & bay diapers? If there is, what's the shop's name & which level is it located at?
Written 18 July 2018
For this question, I'm not in position to answer as I don't have kids yet. But I do know many will head to either Aeon or Giant to stock up. I frequent seen SG cars went to Aeon Bukit Indah and Jusco for their daily use
