One one side it is a feel of olden days in Johor Bharu . Traditional Chinese medicine shop, authentic chinese food, grocery shops and others. Try the curry fish head . On the other end, it is lined up with modern malls like City Square, Komtar. Tourist attractions like the Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman and old chinese temple are nearby.

I was watching the chingay parade 2017 last 2 days. the street was very crowd, the light from the building was very beautiful, it makes the street look very nice. There is a soft wind came from the sea, very comfortable.

A street rich in history. You will find the British colonial style shops are still vibrant side by side the modern shopping malls.

City square and newly renovated komtar are the attractions. Both has shopping centres with nice boutiques and restaurants.

Quite a contrast from City Square Mall which is just a few metres away. Here you see how undeveloped Malaysia really is in this part ; Johor Bahru

Row of shops selling cheap items during day time. Good local fare at the local push carts. However, come night, the place turn into a red-light district. A lot of transvestite hanging around Jalan Wong Ah Fook. Maybe the local authorities should do something about it. Overall, a nice place to visit.

Nice street to stroll. Very authentic place with many local eateries. However be aware that it is not a big or long street. Will not need a long time.

There is this stretch of local push carts with Malaysia delights. I tried the BBQ sotong, stingray. The chili is really good! Best is the oyster egg, which is really good business coz all the items came and this was the last though we ordered 1st item. It Shows how good their business is. Recommended by locals so we walked... More
