There's not much to see here. It mainly acts as a tourist information center but it does offer food selections for your breakfast before departing to any of the islands. Good as a meeting up point with your tour operator too.

Our experience of using the harbour centre was perfect - the company we used handled all aspects of our ferry crossing so thoroughly and the centre is perfect for its function.

Basically this is just the place to get your Bluewater tickets & pay the Marine Park fee.

There's a couple of shops (closed on our visit at 2pm - 3pm) and a couple of food outlets which didn't look especially inviting. There's a couple of other food places over the road nearer the ferry embarkation which were OK.

This is simply the place for us to pick up our Bluewater Express ferry tickets to Tioman and to make payment for the Marine Park fees.

Note that this place is not the embarkation point for the ferry service to Tioman, but you will have to cross over the road (takes less than a minute) to a less conspicuous spot to board your ferry.

Even so, this place looks clean and large, and I would recommend this as a waiting area if you have some time before your ferry departure. As there are wooden benches here and you can freely sit around, the toilets are clean (although you have to pay 40sens per entry), there is a separate eating area with food stalls that open till around 5pm with a few merchandise shops.

Mersing Harbor Center across the street from the pier was a clean building. It was air conditioned so it was a good place to sit and wait for ferry. This is also where ferry ticket got picked up, passport checked and marine fee was collected from 3 different windows. There were also places to eat.

Went there on for a day trip on 7 Apr. They happened to have an exhibition and art bazaar at the harbour centre. The museum was having military motorcycle exhibit show. Nice food and chendol. Music and hand-made crafts from the locals. Otherwise the area would have been quiet. Only filled with passengers to Rawa Island, Tioman etc.

Mersing Harbour Centre is ferry terminal, food court and shopping mall all rolled into one. Looks new and clean and quite spacious too. We were there during so-called monsoon, end of December, which is low-traffic season, so it was fairly quiet. I'm guessing the rest of the year the place will be abuzz.. Easy to find everything; we were in and out in a flash.
