No need to say more...go and just experience yourself....I love this mosque ever since I was young....it's an old design but the location was superb. As it lurch on the tip of a small hill overlooking the esplanade of mersing....it's breathtaking and always create a smile on me after finishing my praying,i will just take a deep breath as I... Walk the 15 minutes to this hilltop mosque with stunning blue and white architecture, and take in views of the South China Sea, river and village. Night-time prayers are broadcast over a mega-super-charged hi-fi system. It's a perfect place and mosque to take pictures.

Beautiful mosque on top of a hill with a view of South China Sea and aerial view of Mersing Town. Amazing minimalist architecture and design. As we arrived here, there is a opening ceremony held as the mosque just undergone renovation. Worth to come for visit meanwhile praying.

The mosque located on top of a hill. It has a great view of the surrounding areas. I've taken several picture & uploaded in Facebook!. It was awesome. Its worth the drive to the mosque. I must say that the mosque was cosy & wonderful to pray inside as well.

From the mosque platform, you will have a great view to Mersing and to the Chinese sea. The building itself is nothing special. The location isn't that far away, about 1.5 km from the centre (and ca 50m high).

Mersing is a small sleepy town that serves as the ferry hub to the islands of Tioman, Sibu, Rawa, Tinggi, Besar, Aur. The town itself seem to be lost in a time warp back in the 90's, with a few 2-3 star hotels, some local eateries, small parks/ playground and coffee shops. Not surprising is the not so few shops... This masjid is located very far from the jetty and the town. I agree with other reviewers when they say that it is not a tourist spot. You should only go here when you have a car with you and you're not sure on how to spend the time. Worth visiting if you're a muslim because it portrays pre-african structure... More
