I went with my family. So I have 4 kids ranging from 5-15 years old. There is no fees incurred to visit Rumah Kelahiran Tun Mahathir. So the fun part is quite an exposure for my kids as they never been to kampong house before. So they had a good tour on the real kampong house. The floor are made... More

A definite stopover in Alor Setar. Well depiction of the journey of our beloved Prime Minister Mahathir. The galleries provide good information of the past and the location is located conveniently in town with good facilities or amenities.

An old house idolized just because he was the 22 years long PM of Malaysia. Waste of time to go and no other activities in the vicinity. Better to stay in hotel and relax.

Of course, it's always wonderful to have a museum for the great statesman who has ever lived in Malaysia. You can read about him from books, journals, news and the Internet, but nothing would beat the real visual effects like that of his own rightful birthplace. Although it's humble location and small abode located alongside Jalan Pegawai can be quite... More

A well maintained attraction that documents the life of the 4th prime minister of Malaysian. Exhibitions are detailed and especially his preserved old house (where he grew up in). Beside it is an ice factory (no entry). Free entry and museum closes at 5pm

A non descript house, a place one can hardly believe to be the birthplace of the person who would put Malaysia on the map and be its longest serving prime minister. Nestled behind an old ice factory, this small house serves as a reminder of the humble beginning of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad. Step into an era where life was... More

For your information, Tun Mahathir was our 4th Prime Minister. I feel proud with him. He did his best to develop our country. I feel very impressed by the Y.B Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad old house. This museum or old house features a living area, bridal room, guest room, reading room, parents room, and kitchen. Each corner has own description on... More

For those who know Tun. Get to know more at this place! The house he stayed previously was cool enough, no fan needed. Can believe he lived next to ice factory. Get all the ice he want
