A very well managed island with lots of things to do! It is a private island which is managed by an organization. Entry to the island is paid. I booked on Klook - a basic package which includes entry fee + welcome drink + free kayaking + free volleyball + free usage of the water park for RM 49.50 per person. I would strongly recommend that you take this package and then land up in the island and then decide what additional activities you want to do. That is because sometimes due to rain some of the activities are either not available or will start when weather conditions are better. Also, some of the activities like parasailing are overpriced.
We reached the dock area from where you need to take a short 5 minutes boat ride to the island. This dock area had a registration desk where you get entry tickets against the Klook voucher. There is adequate parking here if you come in a car. After a short wait of 5-10 minutes you are lead to the boat through a fun, wobbly floating bridge! After the short boat ride you are welcomed by the staff there with drinks.
There are various areas in the island - a beach area where you can chill on the beach benches - that's the area where you do your kayaking and jet skiing and possibly other activities. Then there is an activity hut where you can book whatever activities you want to do. Then there is a water park in the sea for kids (we found it quite useless though) with some floating plastic play blocks. Then there is another area where ziplining happens. Further there are toilets and changing rooms, a huge restaurant, a bar and various nice sitting areas overlooking the sea which are all very well decorated which you can rent. It is a very well equipped, good quality and well maintained island. Also, there are very nice spots to click photographs.
We did the following activities - kayaking (free included in our Klook voucher) + beach volleyball (again free). We then did jet skiing which was RM 150 for 1 or 2 people in a jet ski. There is an instructor who goes along with you and takes you to a big area to jet ski behind the island which is quite choppy and great fun. The kayaking was also very nice and calming. We then enquired about parasailing. It was RM 500+ for 2 people to do tandem parasailing. Let me tell you this is much more expensive than what you can get in Cenang Beach. We did tandem parasailing for 2 in Cenang Beach for RM 300 for 2 people. So, if you want to save some money, you can avoid doing parasailing in this island.
What is fantastic is the bar. It is so well equipped. And a Tiger beer glass is just RM 10. Oh man, this price is so good. The other great part about this bar is that the bar person actually takes your order and serves you wherever you are in the island! Very cool.
We also had lunch in the huge restaurant which has buffet and ala carte options. The food here is good and reasonably priced.
The wash room and the changing rooms - wow. They are so good and clean. Kudos to the management for such clean ones.
We reached there at around 11 am which is not a great time to reach as most activities only start from 1-2 pm. So, I would rather that you plan an afternoon to evening visit here. We were here from 11 am till around 2.30 pm. You just have to inform the staff whenever you want to go back and without delay the boat is there to you drop you back at the docking area. By the way Paradise 101 is very near to Berjaya Langkawi Resort (where we were staying) and to Langkawi Sky Cable Car which is a very famous tourist activity.
The staff here are fantastic. All of them are very courteous and very welcoming.
I am taking away 1 star because of the parasailing price being high + their activities which only start in the afternoon whereas we were there mostly in the morning when most of the activities were not available.
