Just finished our sunset yacht experience. I have aquaphobia and can’t swim, the trained swimmer Mr Rahim was very patience and detailed on guiding me into the seawater jacuzzi net, imagine I’m afraid of swimming pool but I managed to dip in the seawater! My husband is a good swimmer but Rahim also be very alert whenever he needed stabilization in the water! The barbecue meal prepared by Mr Yogi was tasty! His satay and sambal udang made us to top up more! Lastly captain Hassan was brilliant, he made sure to sail us facing the beautiful orangish sunset and made sure of us getting the full view of it and take our time enjoying it! The view was brilliant with the iconic majestic Langkawi Eagle flying on the sky while we on the jacuzzi net. Me and my husband are so glad that we went on to this yacht experience with Tropical Charters, we tipped the crew 100bucks cause they deserved it. I told my husband when we return next time we are definitely patron Tropical Charters again! Thank you for the awesome memory😊

We can highly recommend Tropical Charters for your trip to Langkawi. The team were very efficient, helpful and great communicators, helping to sort every aspect of our trip to Langkawi. The staff were always on hand to assist us with any enquiries at any time and even assisted us to get the required covid PCR testing etc, which can be complicated but was made easy by the excellent staff at Tropical Charters. We really loved the hotel - a perfect choice for our kids. The airport transfers were efficient and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our special "off the beaten path" tour also! We highly recommend Tropical Charters for your holiday in Langkawi and say a huge thanks to the whole team for your help in making our two week stay in Langkawi such a special memory for our family.

Wish there was a 0 star available, not deserving of even half a star!
Ferry was supposed to leave from kohlipe jetty by 11am and arrive at langkawi by 1230pm but the damn crew took their time irrespective of other passengers' to only depart at 11.30am and arrive at langkawi port by 2.10pm! Further to this, without a proper baggage system expected passengers to clamber over themselves to take their luggage admist screaming kids and crying babies. What chaos!
As a result we missed our 3.15pm flight back to kl (duh) amd had to pay 2x our returm trip, amazing logic.
Am demanding some form of refund for their mess up!

Dear Melissa C,
We are sorry you had a bad experience but you got your timing all wrong..maybe u shd double check..we depart at 11 am thai time n arrive between 1.30 to 2pm Malaysian time. Immigration clearance can take anywhere from 30 to 45 mins depending on crowd. We always advise our guests to give themselves at least 3 hours from est arrival time to get to airport to avoid inconvenience. Have a good day.

We would’ve given this a 3.5 rating if there’s such a point system because while the experience wasn’t impressive but it wasn’t too horrible. The boat is huge and is one of the bigger ones that can accommodate upto 60+ pax. Ticket sale process was fast, smooth and easy while onboarding experience was fairly easy too. While onboard music was great and crew was friendly. The only thing that is holding back a good rating is the boat is an old boat and cleanliness is done best the crew could. And food portion for each pax was little. Toilet was really bad however.
In hindsight, if we were to do a cruise again, we will go for an option that caters to smaller amount of pax.

We had the best time the crew were amazing the free flowing drinks were great and the food was amazing. The crew told us about surrounding areas that we were seeing. We had the best time on it would highly recommend

Such a relaxing experience. Crew were very helpful. Good music and we had a good crowd. Food was alright too. Will recommend for those looking to chill. Boat wasn’t too crowded too. Bring your own towels if you’re looking to take a dip.

Our children booked this as a thank you present on our holiday in Langkawi. We were herded on to what looked like a re commissioned ferry. There music on the 'party boat' was overly loud played through distorted loud speakers. The crew attempted to improve our mood by plying us with bad tasting alcoholic drinks. We circled the Harbour a few times while being wreathed in diesel fumes, stopped for a 'swim' in one of the less polluted portions of the Harbour and were then served a very dodge looking 'barbecue dinner'. We ate a little purely not to upset the poor crew. There was one toilet with no lock on the door and was overflowing by an hour into the trip. If we had had some way of getting back to land at that point in time we would have paid handsomely to do so. Luckily we had a deck of playing cards to while away the interminable hours before we docked at Port again. Not only was the RM 300 cost for the trip excessive but I would have 'aid good money not to go on this trip Avoid it like the plague.

Booked expecting to have a private experience with my partner but found it was very cramped for a small boat, not private at all, didn’t choose where to stop as advertised. Also took us a 40 minute taxi ride to the marina, in which we arrived 15 minutes early as asked. Arrived right on 4:45 (cruise started at 5:00), yet we were greeted with “we have been waiting for you”. No hello, just that comment. They also asked for our passport number which we did not have as it was not said on our ‘before we go’ information that it was required. The man was not impressed, which did not set a great tone for the evening.
Also.. open bar was not an open bar.. it was 2 eskis mainly filled with soft drink and 1 kind of beer.
The crew were great, very welcoming and helpful but felt the advertisement was very misleading. If going with your partner, we would not recommend.

Went to a sunset cruise with tropical charter, it was a nightmare.... It was raining when the yacht was cruising and it started get stronger. Few of us requested to turn back the boat immediately but the captain anchored instead. The reason they are not letting us go is because they don't wanna refund they money, that is ridiculous ! It was so dangerous and we insist to go back, finally they took another small tender boat to take us back under the heavy rainssss....
