Very wonderful place from a nature point of view . Installations are very bad , destroying the beauty . It is still worth to visit but could be a paradise if installations was decent

I would have loved to visit Pulau Payar ten years ago. It wasn't horrific, and the snorkelling with black tip sharks was quite special - my 5 year-old loved it - but come on people; you let far too many idiotic tourists come to this...More

We have been on the trip to this marine park twice in two years and unfortunately the facilities have got very run down. The toilet/changing facilities were all broken and frankly disgusting. The organizers of the groups visiting should be more vigilant on how people...More

This trip is not cheap; especially in a group. And it is not well organised at all. But it is worth it. Rather than paying crazy hotel prices go down to Kuah jetty the afternoon before you want to go on the trip (they go...More

This location was recommeded by many, but I think its best days are long gone. There are several companies which bring several high-speed catamarans here, and drop off a huge crowd on the narrow stretch of beach. There is really no place to go inland....More

It is the only scuba diving spot at northern Malaysia. You can access to this dive spot via two routes: by Penang jetty or Langkawi jetty. I am a certified diver and I pay RM350 for two fun dives here. The visibility is low 3-5meter...More

We visited Pulau Payar yesterday and I felt compelled to write a review straight away. What is Pulau Payar - It is a small uninhabited island (with two further small islands next to it) which they have the audacity to call a Marine Park. I...More

Good for first timers. As first timers, we were excited to see the many different species of fishes swimming just next to us. The yellow ones are the ones to watch out for as they'll stare at you in the eye and nibble at you!...More

I took a tour operated by East Marine Holidays to get there. It cost 180 RM and they picked me at my hotel almost on time. The guide said it's a new beach and old one is closed now. NO fins / NO feeding fish...More

Hi there - I took a ferry from Penang to Pulau Payar (2hr), arrived on a floating house, right at the snookering place. There are lockers for rent on this floating house. Hope it helps Bac.
