As we reserved the online ticket, we had to queue at Counter 6 to redeem the physical admission wristbands. And it was a very long queue because the lady at the counter was so slow. We had to wait, wait, and wait under the strong sun. Then, the cable car was swinging quite strongly and dangerously though there was not windy. Quite scary to us! Never again!

Great experience. I will suggest to buy the ticket via Klook or KK Day. It is very convenient to get the ticket in Counter 6 after buying the ticket online. Very long queue due to holidays. if you want to the some times, then you can buy the express lane ticket.

The SkyCab was claimed as the steepest SkyCab. Indeed, it is! The journey to the top was really thrilling and the panorama was super amazing. The cab stopped twice, at each stop, we could enjoy the scenaries of Langkawi from the highest tops of the island. There were some cafes and kiosks as well selling foods and drinks. The ticket was quite pricey as they doubled it for the foreigners. But worth trying!

Even if you are afraid of heights, you MUST NOT miss this. There are two stations on top of Gunung Mat Chincang, which you can see breathtaking views of Langkawi, and on a clear day, parts of Thailand as well. It really does look like Jurassic park at some parts, where there are still virgin rainforests untouched by civilisation. Toilets are clean and well-maintained. There is a gift shop and cafe too at the top, but they were not opened when we were there, because it was quite late when we reached.

Do bring a water-proof windbreaker with you, especially if you want to visit it right after the rain. It can be quite chilly, but amazing nonetheless.

Excellent experience !

The SkyCab has two legs (if I might say). Basically you start from the ground/Lower station, you have a middle station (where you can halt) and then the upper station.

It is a good idea to take a halt in the middle station on your way up. Just take a break, have some family photos and then resume the journey to the upper station.

In the upper station, you can have refreshment in a restaurant. Understandably, the menu is limited due to such a height but it is a decent menu.

The SkyWalk gets closed from time to time depending on the weather. If the weather is windy or rainy, then they close the SkyWalk for safety reasons.

While going to the SkyWalk from the upper station, you can either walk using a winding route or take the SkyElevator. It takes a little bit of fitness to negotiate the path from the Upper station to the SkyWalk. So in case you have young children or someone with fitness challenge or carrying weights (camera, binocs etc.), better to take the SkyElevator.

The SkyWalk was nice. But as I mentioned the weather is very unpredictable. As we walked half-way, the rain came lashing out and we had to retreat. But it is quite a sight to behold !

I visited with a Malaysian friend. He was charged RM43 while they charged me RM85. What a scam! This would be seen as totally illegal and immoral in my country to charge guests to our country more. I asked the lady at the ticket counter why I was bern charged over double the price .... her answer " because you are a foreigner!" .... this is a disgusting practice and says one thing only to foreign visitors to this beautiful island ....."We are going to rip you off"!

Deserves a 1 star review for scamming tourists with foreigner price. Walked in and then walked straight out when I saw this disgusting practice.

This place offers really nice views.

A few things to take note:
If possible, avoid weekends. If you are taking the evening ride, do take note that the crowd starts to build up after 3.30pm.

If you are buying tickets, do ensure that you receive a QR code for your ticket. apparently, their ticketing system only registers QR codes and not barcodes from 3rd party agents.

If your ticket doesn’t have a QR code, ensure your operator provides one else you’ll be channeled from the online booking counter to customer service and then to main counter, which was a very terrible waiting experience for us, considering we bought the express pass.

We bought the express pass (only for sky cab aka cable car ride) however the skyglide ride/nature trail and skybridge is another set of tickets (extra $$$) which can only be bought at The Central platform after taking the skycab all the eay up.

It makes us wonder why they could have the complimentary tickets to 3D art etc but they couldn’t include/provide options for the sky glide/skybridge tickets as well at the ticketing counter. We would have gladly bought the tickets together so we didn’t have to queue AGAIN at the top platform. Prob had to do w timing. They had timings for the skyglide.

It would be better if they could colour code and give the customers a time frame for them to take the skyglide back and forth, cuz honestly there wasn’t much to do once u reach the skybridge (other than appreciating the view) which wouldn’t take very long.

All in all, it was a mixed experience. the view is definitely amazing. The crowd luckily wasn’t so mad on a weekday but much can be improved in the way they run things here, especially the ticketing and the movement of the ppl.

The ticketing mechanism needs to be desperately reviewed, it doesnt make sense that people who have bought tickets online (with express lane, mind you) still have to queue up ridiculous long lines for the entry bands. Defeats the purpose of buying online! And what’s more ridiculous is the number of counters. Surely crowds can be anticipated especially during school holidays hence management must come up with alternative solutions to address the crowds instead of relying on normal day operations. 😤
