This is where my relative is buried in a grave with a headstone "Known Unto God", first member of our family to travel here, delivered a eulogy, long overdue, but now he is truly at rest after,a dreadful two months being "marched" along the Sandakan Death March, Lest We Forget, Private Ronald French.

Took my students for a field trip here on the 28th of April, 3 days after Anzac Day. Recommended. Amongst the sombre and at times heart breaking epitaphs I found one which was different. Must have been one hell of a guy.

we visited Labuan for ANZAC day to show our respects to my Grandfather's two best mates who are buried at the war cemetery . The cemetery is immaculately kept, and a very moving place to be during the ANZAC day dawn service. It was very special to me, to find the graves of Parsons and Titterton, to leave poppies and... This site is actually the same as appeared under " World War II cemetary " by TripAdvisor. Nicely maintained n a visit just to pay respect to the " fallen heroes/ soldiers " .There are no actual " dead bodies " in the grave.......just a hononary tomb to indicate the soldiers who died in the War.

Not too shabby for a war memorial. A must visit for military and history buffs. Don't go between 9 am to 4pm. The sun will be blazing hot.

It is a very well kept cemetery. We went around and read the messages that were carved on some of the graves. Some of the messages are so touching and made me feel emotional. It's a place worth visit.

Very well maintained. Anzac or a remembrance day would be a good time to visit. We visited as group. It is near to the town and south of airport.

I actually work opposite of this spot and I have to say this is a popular tourist location. Daily I see many people taking memorable pictures with the well decorated and repainted cemetery

I came to Borneo as part of an arranged tour. I had hoped to get here as I knew my Uncle was buried here and no-one of the family had ever managed to visit. My guide had arranged for me to visit here. What a lovely place this is. It is so peaceful, tidy and just a lovely feeling. Although... More
