Famous mr Satu is also the best tourguide with the coolest landrover
Went with Cameron Secrets Travel, with the best landrover driver named: mr Satu. He made the tour. Knows a lot about the forest and the plans and also happens to play in a movie which is in the world book of records. And he is sooooo friendly. Had a wonderful tour allthough I like the forest better without the stairs and the gates but I understood that it was for protection of the forest which I respect ofcourse

    Hike up, if you can
It's worthwhile to go - but just be aware that that it's quite a contained experience as you will just walk along a boardwalk and then back again. Do travel up there by 4x4, as the rough and narrow road would do a lot of damage to a normal car. If you plan ahead and have time and fitness, do explore the alternatives of hiking up Coral Hill or the Mount Irau hike. We will do this next time. Make sure it's not during rainy season as I expect it will be both muddy and slippery. But you'll have a lot more "in forest" feel if you do this. Permits are required and it's better to hire a guide, too.

    unique location
Nice and unique location. Because of the hight thisd place is (2000m) the trees and plants are all covered with moss and other plants. You can only acces it when it s opened by an official person and this guy seems to only start working when he wants to, because we waited there for ages although it should have been open already. The place isn t that big, but goes up and down with wooden stairs. In front of the entrance is a nice view over the surrounding mountains. A nice experience and because of the hight it has a nice cool temperature.

Exciting expedition to trail here 💞💞
One of the most beautify Mother Nature: The Mossy Forest. Its beauty itself is captivating many foreigners and hikers to hike and walk along the forest with great smile and enduring the fresh refreshing air that brings calmness and joy while breezing mesmerising the walk at mossy forest. Every trees and bridge are well kept with refreshing greenery that brings inner state of mind of peace when walking through the trail. The air in this forest is so fresh and cooling that brings out the enjoyment in trailing and hiking during our expedition here. Many greenery and trees to look out for beautiful photo scene. However we need to take a 4WD up as normal car might not reach the top; as the road to the forest is very narrow and the access towards the top could be very dangerous as journey to the top is quite challenging due to the way the road access to the top. 💞💞💞

    Yes, please come visit
We booked a half-day tour a night before our tour with Oastel.com. RM50/pax to BOH tea plantation & Mossy Forest. Pay entrance tickets to Mossy Forest separately. Our guide picked us up at 8 am at Tanah Rata by a cool-looking Land Rover Defender. If you can, please bring along some dog food/food to feed the friendly dogs along the way up. Some dogs seem hungry 😟. But please do not leave any rubbish. We arrived around 10++ am. Some visitors brave enough to drive sedan cars, and MPVs, caused traffic due to inexperience. Parking is not enough to cater for cars here. Might get worse on weekends. The weather was nice during our visit. Our guide, Mr. Selvam is a well-experienced guide & explained to us a lot about the plants including the mosquito repellant plant, Citronella. Never had we breathed so fresh air! Smoking is not allowed! The weather changes, so each day is different in the mossy forest. We had a wonderful tour with Mr Selvam (contact him at +60124424781).

    Good with drawbacks.
Online it says taxis regularly travel up. So I took my Honda car. It was okay but the road is very: steep, narrow , winding & rough. Car made it but taken very slowly & very early morning before the 4x4s start cruising up. Staff are unusually less than friendly for Malaysians, not unfriendly, but not the smiling helpful people that most tourists encounter. Views are impressive, especially from the tower. The rest of the boardwalk is okay, but the Mossy Forest is really an underwhelming experience; better experiences are to be had in Malaysia. Pricing is a rip off for foreigners, okay I know we can afford it, but the differential is up to 600%. Worth the visit, but as a long term resident in Malaysia,I will not be returning or recommending.

The place was awesome. I love exploring the enchanted mossy forest. Clear information about trees and mosses was on display. If you visit, make sure you wear clothes that can keep you warm.

A must when come over to Cameron Highlands to experience strangely beautiful forest tucked in the highlands of Mount Brinchang.
Visitors can drive up to mountain top and walk on anti slip plank walkway to experience misty mossy forrest shrouded in a magical aura at an elevated position of 2,032 metres above sea level.
