This trail is currently closed. Same for trail 10. Don't come to the Cameron Highlands for the hiking. The smaller hikes, like Mossy Forest for example are nothing special to be honest.

I spent here 3 nights. when you want to go trekking it's a really cool place! There're not that many tourists but still some guys who you can talk with in the evening. Great!

As the 3 commenters below have written the trail has officially been closed but can still be climbed: At the bottom - follow the right hand fork in the road uphill towards the water works. Before reaching the water tanks are some wooden steps on...More

First of all, we read this last review and he is right. Path 1 is completely closed. Someone said, that a few meters before, there would be a new entrance but you can't walk it and there are no warning signs or anything else. Just...More

This trail is now officially closed. The stream is now very difficult to cross and all ropes are removed. There are big red signs barring entry to the forest reserve and significant amounts of razor wire.

Trail 1 was all that the many contributors have already written about. Epic fun climbing over and under trees, getting stuck in ankle deep mud, conquering steep sections with ropes to finally make it to the top of the hill. Finding the path was really...More

We hiked/climbed this trail after a period of persistent rain, so the ground as well as the ropes you need at the particularly steep parts were very muddy and slippery. Even if it were completely dry (which I'm not sure it ever is) it would...More

Easy to get to the start of the trail - we took a taxi from Tanah Rata to the start of the path just North of Brinchang. After a short walk along the path it is difficult to find the actual trail - there is...More

Even getting onto this trail is a challenge, due to subsidence of the path, you have to negotiate a stream, and climb up onto the path. This is a very beautiful climb up the mountain. It's only 3 km but it took us 3 hours....More
