This museum is best for Malaysians and Singaporeans aged 30 years and above as it can fill one with nostalgia. I do however think it needs some maintenance as some parts were dusty and a few rooms were stuffy with no fans.

Walked into this place by chance, expecting a beer & burger. It’s actually a Chinese restaurant that looks like a UK pub. Great atmosphere, fun & friendly staff, good food & beer etc if you want. Positively they allow clients to bring their own wine / brandy as long as you order a meal (pp). This is a great attraction, wine is so expensive in restaurants, & relatively cheap in the supermarket. Food was v good; my wife & I had a great evening there. Try ! Enjoy 😊

It was raining and this was a colorful hideaway. Pleasant surprise, including the shop downstaris that fashions fine furniture to order and for export using local wood. The museum is clean and well arranged, showing rooms staged as in other times. Many nostalgic pieces incl. a barbers chair, radios, old Mah-jong table and pieces, old wooden umbrellas, photos etc.

For a small price you get a lot. The museum gives a brief history of Malaysia and Ipoh and has an impressive collection of various trinkets from the 50's and onwards. Really gave a feeling of being back in time. The space was really used well with every corner having something to look at. On the bottom floor there is a shop selling handicraft.

If you are a fan of time tunnels, you wouldn't want to miss this place.
The paraphernalia is a a collection of private and personal belongings as well as specially kept gems.
Drop by and catch for yourself some delightful Ipoh items kept for you through the times.

Really nostalgic and amazing collection. I felt like i was back to the 80s and 90s. We were the only 4 person there on that day. Not many realised it maybe due to it was a shop selling handicraft at bottom.

Kids had a gd time exploring the museum. It is along shop houses that we chance upon it in Old Town. Educational for the young. There is entrance fee. Cant remember. Not expensive. If you hv time to spare.

Marvellous collection of antiques, memorabilia, ephemera from numerous Barber Shops, Movies, Schools, Cameras, advertising, mining etc...the list goes on. So much to look at; and lots of items that msot people will recognise from theior past as to hav, having, used or seen items.
Nicely set out over various levels, this is a lovely way to spend an hour or more reminiscing or showing the family how life used to be. Was air conditioned, so a nice place to step out of the humidity.
For 6rm Adults & 4rm kids, it is not an expensive attraction.
