Nice place to visit. There was a lake and you have to use the boat to cross it from jetty to the island. At island you can see monkeys, birds and others and there was mini zoo as well. Your kids will love to see the animals

Cheap entrance ticket, but disappointed while arriving the destination force everyone to take a picture from the shop. give a stupid excused said this is to record who come visit this Place. but is for commercial to develop the picture selling to you. we manage to bypass this session by walking thru directly. this create a long que too while waiting for others all taking picture....

There are many reviews that said exactly what I just said - we were in Ipoh and cracking our heads on "sightseeing", so this was where our friends brought us. You could walk around a large expanse of greenery, admire some limestone caves/mountains from the outside, see several animals but mostly in cages except for the monkeys, admire the tree art ... and that was it. We were done in half an hour and had to ask our drivers to return earlier than planned. If you have little time in Ipoh, I'd say skip this.

Disappointed for our family outing all the way from outstation. Crowded and messy parking area once we entered. No one is available to guide the directions. Getting boat ticket process with long queue but process wasn’t that long. However the waiting time to get a boat was infinity long! At the end we have to give up and left the place as it started drizzling and there was not enough space for young kids and family to wait.

Having said that because the proper jetty was under renovation, no clear sign where to wait for the boat until you saw a crowd queueing at somewhere. By the time we queue there, there was NO queue, people just stuffed themselves into the only tent. Each boat can take around 20passengers, we estimated more than 150ppl waiting in the crowd without queue, around 15min/ transfer. How are we suppose to get onto the boat with such a rundown waiting area with 2 elderly and a toddler.

So unless you have really nothing to do, or go during weekday, or just visit without riding the boat, you can walk around with the nice lake view with breeze.

It's not a must-visit place for a passing tourist but good for a idyllic outing with the family. Bring your own food and drinks if you want to have a picnic at the recreational park. A short, relaxing ride on the ferry for RM3 per adult, RM1.50 per child and RM1.50 for senior citizens above 60 years old will bring you across the lake to the park. Very scenic with lots of trees and limestone hills. Catch the ferry back any time you're ready between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm every day (including public hols) except for Friday when it's closed from 11.30 am till 3.00 pm for prayers. The artificial waterfall near the entrance is quite impressive.

Having seen and done everything that we wanted to, this was on the back up list and it was worth coming to see, if you have spare time. Only needed an hour at most for us, but good for families. Enjoyed seeing the waterfall.

Lang Mountain is located in a park a few kilometres from the centre of Ipoh. It can be combined with a visit to the nearby Perak Cave Temple.

You need to ride a boat to this mountain. The scenery is quite good for photo taking, and there are some animals there which children will find it exciting. Toilet cleanliness is consider OK too.

It was a hot day but it’s a small place . Unless you are planning for a picnic, you only need 1 hour max. Maybe 2 hours you have small children.

Boat ride cost
$3 for adults, $1 for kids and $1.50 for seniors.

Do:
Have sunscreen
Have a bottle of water
Some snacks if you have to eat.
Enjoy the serenity of the Mother Nature
Do not litter

We took a Grab taxi from Weil hotel. Cost us about RM$8 one way.
