Nice place to visit. There was a lake and you have to use the boat to cross it from jetty to the island. At island you can see monkeys, birds and others and there was mini zoo as well. Your kids will love to see the animals

There are many reviews that said exactly what I just said - we were in Ipoh and cracking our heads on "sightseeing", so this was where our friends brought us. You could walk around a large expanse of greenery, admire some limestone caves/mountains from the outside, see several animals but mostly in cages except for the monkeys, admire the tree art ... and that was it. We were done in half an hour and had to ask our drivers to return earlier than planned. If you have little time in Ipoh, I'd say skip this.

Cheap entrance ticket, but disappointed while arriving the destination force everyone to take a picture from the shop. give a stupid excused said this is to record who come visit this Place. but is for commercial to develop the picture selling to you. we manage to bypass this session by walking thru directly. this create a long que too while waiting for others all taking picture....

The map for this park on TA suggests it is just along from the station when in fact it is about 5 km north of Ipoh. With help from the locals we got a 35 bus which dropped us off just down the road from MacDonald's. To get to the park take the road directly across from it and walk about 0.5 km and you are there.
I can understand why a couple of people think it is run down but to us that was all part of its charm. Most of the time we were there we were the only people occupying the space, even the monkeys scarpered when we walked along. We spent a couple of hours there just chilling and enjoying the beautiful senery . The boat was fine quick and efficient, and easy to get in and out of.
If you need some quite time this is the place to go.

Nice limestone outcrops arising from the lakeside. Huge carps and Catfish swimming just next to the viewing deck. Saw a huge old Turtle swimming about. May get a bit hot in the afternoon. Easy access. There are paid boat rides but unfortunately was short of time so did not try. Worth the trip for a quick visit.

Saw picture taken by others tourist but was disappointed with the place. Expecting to see the water fall but look like he pump is not working.
This place is quite far from the Ipoh city, approximately more than 30mins.There suppose to be a man make water fall but we can't see it at all. We can purchase ticket to take a boat ride from the arriving hall and the recreational island.
Nothing much at this place if without the water falling working.

For this place. Peaceful.

If you're looking for something else, then this surely is not the place. The lake is surrounded by limestone hills and the boat ride is only 3-5 minutes. For such a small place you cannot expect anything much out of the few nickels that you paid for the service and amenities.

Newlyweds go there and take pictures all over the place for their wedding albums. Visitors are usually happy to see them while picnicking with families. It's a happy place.

I love the lake! I love the boat service which provide us to go to the otherside of the lake. I love the mountains! i love the green! But i detest the keeper's of the animals here..they did not take a good care of those animals! They look so unhealthy, poor, sad, and cage is very very bad. I dont see any worker taking care of the place and the animals. Hope the authority will do something about this.

The place is clean but not much to offer.
I like the beauty of nature but the animals (rabbits & turkeys) kept there are an eye sore.
