This park has been around in Ipoh since time immemorial. To many, it may just be another park but to those interested in flora, it is a great place for photography. Look out for a specially trimmed large bamboo growth and some visiting avian friends. Another nice thing is you can drive into and out of the park if you choose not to walk.

We only drove through, as at a point where we wanted to stop and park, there was a suspicious-looking group of boys. So we thought it better not to get down from the car.

This is an old park with proper maintenance and true old tree/plants. A lot of folks do exercise and play sport.

The place needs a huge overhaul. The Japanese Garden is nothing like a Japanese Gdn at all. The whole place looks dead. Thre are 2 workers clearing de dry leaves. We were looking forward to it but wat a great disappointment.

Well maintained....trees here are amazing and at least aged 100 years. There are a few playground and pond where you can feed fishes and turtles. Wonderful place for kid and adult to back to nature.

Can't believe this park is still here. Used to come to feed the fish roughly 30 years ago. Though its just a reflection of what it once was in the 80's, this park is still a good place to relax with your family

Practically every day I drive past this green spot of Ipoh. It bears the name of the City Mayor who maintained the city as "the cleanest urban place" of Malaysia during his time. Now no more.
The park is a lush green area with shrubs, playing fields, huge rain trees and surrounded by YMCA hostels and other shopping malls. It is easily reachable, clean, free to walk and relax and just to camp a while if one prefer. Though not of any tourist appeal, it is nevertheless a spot where one can drive to park the car to just sit to relax for a while, nothing more.

How many toilets are there. Any toilet near the children's playground?

I wonder why the concern on how many toilets for this Park. Anyway, you do not expect any positive feeling of a return trip after visiting this place. The toilets are public toilets and you can expect the level of hygienic conditions.
