This temple is quite out of the way, we drove inside a very small and tight pathway to reach this temple. The view was stunning with limestone hills making the backdrop. The temple looks nice and authentic, and we even climbed all the way up to the final level of buddha. But alas, the temple looks like it needs serious cleaning/polishing. There were bird droppings and dust everywhere on the staircase and upper levels of the temple. You can also turn the bells located at every corner of the temple and buy some fish food to feed the fishes in the pond.

This is my favourite experience in Malaysia so gar. You start at the bottom level inside, and follow the beautiful chanting. After walking up 8 floors of staircase, you'll reach the beautiful.buddha statue with is hands held out. It's a very special experience. This is an y crowded hidden gem and the best temple.visit so far. It's fascinating to see a Tubetan buddhist temple too
There were no crowds, and the view from the top was amazing. Must do in Ipoh.

A friend of mine brought me to this hidden gem of Ipoh recently and I was really amazed with it architecture.
I was made very welcome from the moment I arrive as I was greeted by one of the volunteer; who suggested and showed me the path to the top.
It was very beautiful and peaceful.
The stairs led all the way to the top of this 13 storey Pagoda; where a golden statue of Lord Buddha with open hand is situated; overlooking Ipoh town.
Later on my way out; he explained that the temple was 34 year old and is one of the largest Tibetan-tradition Buddhist temples in the country.
This hidden Gem is surprisingly still unknown to many, including the locals.
A definitely must visit; when in Ipoh!

the temple is situated inside the orchards. You will need a car to reach the destination. The pagoda is more than eight floor high. From the orchard, you will see the nice view of the pagoda and the Buddha statue. After you reach the pagoda, you can proceed on the small path beside it, leading you to the building where the Buddha statue is situated. there, you can climb up to the base of the Buddha feet. As the stairs wind around the stony surface of the hill, it is quite narrow and step at some places. candles lit the rooms where the stairs lead you to the feet of Buddha. As i went there with only one friend, the silent atmosphere gave us some eerie feeling.

This temple is located in Tambun, not every people in Ipoh knows about it. You could see the road sign just before the turn to the road that leads to temple. Its about 1.2km from the turn, and road are narrow which only 1 vehicle can pass at 1 time, so beware. Temple is very quiet, I think I am the only visitor only at that time, nevertheless the architecture and the design are great. Nice view once you had gone up to the highest level, good photoshoot, nevertheless it gave me some eerie feeling when I was inside alone, might be too quiet.

Although I have lived in tambun for 7 years, I did not know the existence of this temple till we stumbled upon it whilst driving around for scenic photography spots. Being a Catholic, temples do not attract me. Neither do they put me off. When I first saw this temple, perfectly hidden among the limestone hills and pomelo farms, its scenic surroundings took my breath away. Well worth a visit even if you are not into temples!

Enlighten Heart Tibetan Buddhist Temple is an old charm and is located in Tambun. Not very much of people in Ipoh knows about it. It is at a hidden location covered by wild plants on the approaching roads and surroundings. There are very few Tibetan Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, this temple is a rare find and is one of the largest Tibetan-tradition Buddhist temples in the country.
It is located at the foot of Ipoh’s impressive stretch of limestone. The road sign is just before the turn to the road that leads to the temple.Travel about 1.2 km along the road directed from there. The road is narrow and covered with bushes on the sides where only one vehicle can travel at a time and therefore so be watchful.
Temple is very quiet, five of us were the only visitors only at that time other than the volunteers who maintain it. My Chinese origin Malaysian friends told me that this temple is vibrant on festive season like Wesak days but rather quiet with few visitors on other days with few people. Nevertheless the architecture and the design are great. It is serine, spiritual and clears our souls when visited. There are some really impressive statues.
By comparison with other more famous temples, it is quite new, and it is possible to feel the strong personal commitment volunteer There is one room with huge jars around.
Volunteers helped us with directions. It was very beautiful and peaceful.
The stairs led all the way to the top of this 13 storey Pagoda; where a golden statue of Lord Buddha with open hand is situated; overlooking at Ipoh town. The Pagoda houses an enormous Sakyamuni Buddha statue but it is dusty and looks like it hasn't been maintained in years. The climb to the top of the pagoda will reward you with great views. Every floor of this pagoda is decorated with statues, deities and paintings depicting the rich mythology of Buddhism and a breathtaking view of Kinta Valley can be seen from the top.
We came to the main altar by 9 am to observe the ritual. Monks chanted sutras and disciples blowing horns and other traditional Tibetan instruments included in the processions. The masked dancers made the Charm dance in attractive costumes in elegant fashion.
We got a different kind of an experience by visiting Enlighten Heart Tibetan Buddhist Temple in Ipoh but it is great.

Hi. Does anyone know the exact address for the Temple? It doesn't appear to be coming up on the map and I would love to go and find it.
Thanks
