Heard about this place but didn't have a chance to go in, under the impression is a private member club. Until recently brought my son to Meru for vaccination, we were shuttled to the drop off point by the staff using the golf car "buggy". The volunteers were friendly and assist to resolve my personal mysejahtera issue. Bought a cup of coffee for myself and a chicken pie for my son. Is delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant is only open to member's accompanied guests now but we were assured that the public can dine-in once things back to the old norm. Will definitely bring my family members to try out this place.

This used to be exceptional natural site but with extensive construction it is way less. Furthermore since the death of the latest Gm, 5 years ago, the “management has demonstrated incompetence, arrogance and contempt especially for the residents and paying members (rm 182 for use of h to et facilities) . Since the beginning of mco, 15 months ago, most facilities have been shut down but monthly fees were never even reduced. We can t even stop our membership has it is linked to the house we are renting. Our only option is to leave the valley. We actually can t wait to do so but the full lockdown of the country prevents it unfortunately . I would not recommend anyone to move in Meru

The ‘lake’ concept for this driving range is very clever. Golfers can hit special ‘floating’ balls into a small scenic lake, and every so often one of the staff ventures out onto the lake in a little rowing boat to collect them. Golfers can choose to drive balls into the lake from upper or lower platforms, or from a little grassy area. The lake is small but beautiful. There is a path around the lake for walking and jogging, a small putting green and a small gym.

Regular golfers can bring along their own equipment, but the driving range is let down by a lack of decent golf equipment for the use of casual visitors. There are a few pitchers and putters available, but don’t bother to ask for drivers, or left-handed clubs, or children’s clubs, or for a range of clubs to suit different sized customers.

Even tees are not available, and this can make hitting the ball very challenging for beginners. Many people wishing to take up the sport will be put off by this experience.

Some of the gym equipment is worn out and broken.

Stayed in the services suites with separate sleeping, living / kitchen areas and a huge balcony for five nights. Made full use of the resort; running up the surrounding hills, the quiet and modern gym. Lost my partner to the 27-hole course - bonus 😂

Extensive menu, from fish and chips to noodles / pasta. (Would be nice to have more veggie options!) There’s also a separate cafe and a free co-working space - cool space over looking the course with good WiFi , which I used a lot on this staycation / work from home time.

Security staff really friendly and staff knowledgeable about the area and what’s best on the menu!

Had to pre book massage but that’s ok.. I had time! Other people I met we’re staying there six months... there’s a plan!

Thanks for making us feel at home...

Thank you for your positive feedback Tezzacl - we're so pleased you enjoyed the facilities at the resort and found our team friendly and knowledgeable; we always want our guests to have a memorable time. We're glad to have taken your partner off your hands for a round of golf, while you were able to work comfortably in the common room - with the balance of those views and a well deserved time-out in the spa. I've passed your comments on about more vegetarian choices to our head chef Desmond. We hope to welcome you both back soon, have a wonderful day and enjoy the Merdeka celebrations.

It is very common nowadays for tennis players all over the world - from beginner to professional - to play and train with a few dozen tennis balls, picked from a basket. For many, this helps to create a high-tempo tennis experience that is both challenging and rewarding. No need to stop every two minutes to pick up balls.
However, for players at Meru Valley Resort the tennis experience is blighted by a unique and bizarre rule – players are not allowed to use more than six balls on the court in each session. This rule is enforced by the staff on duty during the court operating hours. Players can enjoy the many benefits of using a basket of balls, only if they shell out nearly one hundred ringgit per hour (extra) to engage the services of the club coach, and play at his convenience.
It seems the management have worked hard to ensure the tennis experience is as limited and restrictive as possible for those who are not prepared to fork out the extra cash. Shameful nonsense!
Another bizarre rule states that no more than four people are allowed in each court at one time. As many social tennis groups regularly have up to five or six members, this is very perplexing.
This is a great shame because the setting for the courts is attractive, and the facilities (two hard surface courts) are reasonably good.
I will not be wasting good money to play tennis here in the future.

Dear johnbO7817HJ Thank you for your review for the Meru Valley Resort and highlighting your constructive comments. Please trust that the Management is taking measures in order to improve in where needed. In relation to your other comments, may we kindly inform you that using of maximum of six balls in the court is the club rules and hope you understand. As for the rules that no more than four person are allowed in each court at the same time was the temporary S.O.P. enforced during EMCO (Enhanced Movement Control Order) following advised by the authorities. This has been lifted since 01 June 2020 where double match are allowed. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please contact our help line at 605 525 1582 and ask for Sunny. We look forward to hearing from you and have a nice day.

Overall experience was good but management needs to make sure room conditions are in tip top condition as in air con is well maintained (room 308, the a/c was forming crystal and was not functional the last day). Upon checking in bathroom was clogged up.

Breakfast at Dome was superb with decent choices of food. Ambiance is quiet and nice. Staffs were great.

This is the third time to Meru Valley Resort and we will be returning. The hospitality is excellent; the golf course is challenging but worth it; the clubhouse is very inviting; and, the accommodation is clean, spacious and very close to the clubhouse. If you are a golfer, definitely go; if not a golfer, go anyway. We went as a golfing group of 22 pax, men and women.
Just do it.

Went here during mid June of 2019. It was superb! Check in process was simple and easy, they even showed us where our villa is using the golf buggy.

Safety was high! There are two security gates we had to go to to get to the villa.
They even gave us a solute each time we go pass. So discipline!

We had a three bedroom villa, it was brand new (about 2 years old) and well-maintained. Each room was air-conditioned. Lovely backyard. The villa is also wheelchair friendly. Main bathroom was wide enough for a wheelchair person to enter and use, although FYI there are no wheelchair hand rails.

To go to the swimming pool from the villa, they picked us up using a buggy. the kids LOVED IT! It was so much fun! At the pool, the lifeguard explained to us the rules: we need to have a quick shower before getting in, we need to take our thongs (slippers / flip flops) off before entering the section close to the pool, and also the sections where the kids are allowed to go to. Very strict ! This is good to ensure hygiene and safety.

Overall it was a lovely pleasant experience. Thank you for the good time
