The murals (street art) of Ipoh are well famous :)
Note, however, that the street art / murals are scattered in various locations in Old Town (i.e. the area on the side of the railway station of Kinta river) Ipoh

Mainly within Old Town area and a reasonable walking distance from our hotel. Leading from the Mural Arts Lane to the main Old Town center where the Concubine Lane is and the surrounding areas.

Not many that you can pose with (unlike those in Penang) but many to admire and take photos of, especially those depicting the life at that area. Similarly, a pity some are not well maintained and have been defaced or faded.

Walked around Ipoh to discover most of the murals either simply walking around or using Google Maps. There are more than I expected, with styles and topics of different ranges.

Highly recommend when in Ipoh when discovering the streets.

Much of the art is scattered all over the place making it hard and difficult to visit, coupled with the difficult parking. The one place where it is placed together in one lane, Jalan Masjid, is in a poor state of disrepair. Not rewarding at all.

I went to search the murals listed in the brochure but was confused with so many other paintings on buildings other than those listed. Those not listed were not that nice.

The mural art is already fading in some places. But it is a good way to walk and explore the Ipoh town and try the food along the way. There are maps online you can use to plan how to walk.

Ernest Zacharevic did a few murals in Ipoh. The murals are very interesting pieces. Should have a look if you are in Ipoh. His murals are part of the Ipoh Mural Art Trail.

Padang Ipoh is good place to have jogging or walking exercise. It is near the Birch clocktower and a number of administrative buildings during the British era.

By walking through the cdentre of the town we have seen many wall paintings with various subjects. Some of them are real art pieces and they increase the ambiance of the town centre.

Wander the streets of old town and check out the murals - many are somewhat interactive, a wonderful way to spend a few hours
