When you go there, it feels like going into a make-believe world where everything looks unreal. The paintings on the walls make you feel like you're inside the art! It's so much fun to take pictures because the illusions look real in the photos. I had a great time and would tell my friends to check it out for sure!Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 12 April 2024

Staff were unfriendly, rude and seemed as if they preferred for us to not even come in cause staying at the front counter all together was more important. Really bad customer service and one of their staff said that now they have implemented a ‘new company policy’ which is that they will not help customers take pics that require a 3rd person cameraman even though there are no other customers in the place (with 3pax staff on standby) and they will also not help guide you cause they have signs up at each photo op area, so if you can’t manage, then it’s your problem. Place is also run down and not well maintained. Funny thing is that you can get free instagrammable shots of painted 3D looking walls just outside at Concubine Lane. Wouldn’t come again or recommend it to others.

We went to see the place as it was recommended on a website. It was massively over rated and I certainly would not recommend it. If you have spare time while visiting Ipoh, this is a nice time filler, but if you have less than 5 days, then you can fill your iterinary up with more interesting places to visit.
The entrance fee was MYR15 for Malaysians and MYR19 for foreigners which discriminaroty and a rip-off considering the state fo the place. The place itself is not subsidised by any government or bodies, so it is not that Malaysians get a disocunted entry, but rather the establishment itself sees that it is fit to rip foreigners off.
We went as a family and one of us did not have the identity card on her and as such was charged a higher entrance fee, despite the fact that it was plain to see that the individual is a Malaysian.
You have to take your shoes off as they do not allow shoes in the building, but be careful as you may get your shoes stolen if you leave them by the entrance.
There wasn't a lot to see and a lot of the so called art is tailored for kids. Some had paint peeling and the props were not in good condition. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes.
The staff were mostly girls indefferent bordering rude.
Top tip:
Bring your identity card to qualify for the discount.
Do not leave your shoes by the entrance.

A small entrance fee and you enjoy endless trick photos. There are artists/guides to show you how to take trick pictures. They even offer to take it for you!! I believe they refresh the trick art to make it interesting. This place is air-conditioned which is a good for a hot and humid day. Highly recommended.

I came here wt my 4 teenagers and we indeed had funs & good bonding taking photos with the trick arts. The place is located in a 3-story shop house. There is a very reasonable entrance fee for adult & child while a discounted rate is given if got student id. The staff are very friendly and helpful in assisting to take photos of us while advising us what proper trick pose to get the best shot out of the arts. The arts are fantastic. The place is clean. Must take off the shoes upon entrance. Overall, a good place to visit in Ipoh. Can recommend.

We visited the Funtasy Trick Art on Xmas Day. It's a shop lot located in a busy part of Ipoh Old Town so parking is difficult. We parked at the Ipoh Tourist Imformation Centre and walked a very short distance to the place.
Bring your kids student ID as they get a discounted entrance fee. You have to take your shoes off at the entrance.
We all had a creative time playing around and snapping pics and the guides are very helpful, telling you where to stand and helping you take pictures with your camera or phone. My teenage boys and 11 year old daughter enjoyed themselves. Even I did!
It's an enjoyable way to spend an hour. There is a narrow flight of stairs to the upper floor but manageable. Worth the visit.

Hi, we are truly sorry because our attraction is not fully wheelchair friendly. We are a two floor building which half of the artwork is located on the second floor that can only be access by staircase.
