There aren't too much to see in there but still significant enough for a visit. The people taking care of this house were very friendly and helpful. If you love history especially Chinese history, then it's definitely worth visiting.

Very informative and it offers great insights into the rich Chinese history and culture of Penang. The care takers are very helpful and knowledgeable, and if you ask them, they can tell you the whole history of the island and the Chinese in Malaysia. If you are interested in history, worth a visit!

if you are one who like history, you would enjoy listening to the narration of the host explaining the story of Sun Yat Sen. But there are some antiques that are worth seeing

I visited this on really hot day and it was very pleasant to enter this cool house. Sun Yat Sen is the first president and founding father of the Republic of China. I was greeted by one of the caretakers who enthusiastically took the time to explain the history behind Sun Yat Sen's visit to the country prior to the... More

Bumped into this museum by accident on my way to Armenian Street as it wasn't in my plan. Nice historical collection and readings on Sun Yat Sen's activities then. However, there is also quite a fare bit about the owners of the building instead of Sun. Nevertheless it's a good temporary hideaway from the hot sun where you can quench... More

We visited this museum at my son's suggestion as he studied the Chinese revolution this year . An extremely enjoyable and fascinating visit by all the family. We met the movie producer of Road to Dawn, a movie about Sun Yet Sen, who provided some additional context about the house and the man who has made it famous. She described... More

Great place to visit to get an insight into Sun Yat-sen's time in Penang, as well as his other international journeys to gather support. The building is kept in a great shape, while still respecting the history. A bonus to read about the history of the house, and my favorite room was the well-preserved Nyonya kitchen. Teas and iced drinks... More

Heard so much about Sun Yat Sun and the school break was my chance to learn more about this individual, Dr Sun, who managed to garner the support of overseas Chinese for political change in China. We were lucky as the caretaker of the museum was very friendly as he noticed I can speak the local dialect, Hokkien. He then... More

An interesting old home with many stories to tell. This museum contains a collection of furniture and about everything else from bygone days. See how the Chinese merchants lived. A pleasant visit.
