Fort Cornwallis takes up such a large space in colonial George Town, you feel you pretty much have to see it, but for RM20 for adults and no discounts for seniors, it's pretty expensive. The broad stone walls offer views over the strait that separates...More

Ticket is pretty expensive, and not good like I had expected. The fort is kinda small and doesn't have anything that could become a great photo spot. Just a normal fort that has been modified into a tourism spot. Worth to go? No.

Relax in the shade of towering greenery while listening to tales of how George Town, Penang, was first established. Almost too fantastic to be true. Intimately related by Molly, guide at the fort which is still being excavated for historic artefacts. Bronze cannon which "rose...More

Fort Cornwallis was initiated by Francis Light more than 200 years ago. It is an interesting place to visit. It also has a very good restaurant which serves Asian food fusioned with Western and other influences.

This place as a pretty hefty entrance fee compared to other attractions in Georgetown and we can’t understand why as there really isn’t that much to see other than a few old canons! We were very underwhelmed!! Save your money - this place really isn’t...More

It is worth a visit but it isn't spectacular; there isn't much there. There is a shop however and history guides too as well as a plush restaurant. It isn't particularly expensive to get in and it makes a nice stroll; it is definitely a...More

Fort itself is okay, not worth a visit itself. We had a free tour (apart from the RM20 entry fee) with Molly, which really compensated for the average site. Besides the 45min talk on the fort she gave us many very helpful advice on the...More

There’s nothing inside instead of a cafe and lawn. The old church becomes warehouse now. Nothing to see. If u want to see the 18 century wall and fort, just walk around the area, and then you can see the same thing. Local people RM...More

UNder renovation at the side facing the basketball court. Still accessible through the usual path. Actually under new excavation site by the USM students. A new artifacts found maybe, looking forward to a larger area next time.

Sorry I can't give you any indication of tourist volume to the fort. I would assume that it would be fairly high due to its prominent location in the UNESCO Heritage area. Seems to be an odd question coming from a resident? More
