With an epic and legendary history, Penang island is one of Malaysia’s most unique destinations. A world heritage site, a port and confluence of some of the oldest families in the country, Penang is a natural choice for visitors to have a sneak peek into being Malaysian. So hop on of our tours with an original Penang born and bred food guide. This is a small group tour with a local guide in a private vehicle. Explore with us the treats of yesteryear with the humble “Penang Lobak”, the “Appoms” and “Kuihs” found only in the Penang backstage and the Penang night hawkers. Come ready for an adventure!

My husband and I chose this tour as we had done several in KL with the same company and we certainly weren't disappointed. We did the night tour midweek on 22nd March and it was one of the best nights we've had - it was fantastic. Paying a little extra, we were collected from our hotel by Jesi and Baptist,... More

My wife and I are foodies and loved our Food Tour Penang tour of George Town's famous hawker fare. Junie was an excellent guide, steering us to locations and foods we would not have chosen or found by ourselves. As you might expect, we also learned a lot about Penang history and culture along the way. Come hungry, as you... More

We did the Food Tour Penang, and did have a very pleasant evening. Even by sending a text message in the morning, it was possible to join in that same evening. We were picked up by car by Junie, who was a very kind lady. We got a tour around by car to all kind of different places where we... More

For 2 Parisians who divide their time between Paris and New York Georgetown Penang was a revelation! More authentic foodies in one place you will never see! Our guide Kevin was tops. We made 6 stops and each one was different and special. Kevin gave us just enough background info to understand but not too much to kill the fun... More

We have been to many food tours around the world but this one??!! WOW. I would rank it the best so far on my list. Junie and Kevin were excellent. It felt like we were friends for ages. They gave us a background on the culture, the familes and history of the area and people who run the stalls, not... More

We just did this tour last weekend and it was really top notch. We have done a number of food tours elsewhere in Asia and this ranks up there as probably the best. Our guide Jesi was incredibly knowledgeable about the local food, culture and history, and was very eager to share it with us. The variety and amount of... More

We did this tour last week and it was fantastic. There were only four of us on the tour: my husband and two others and the tour guides Jesi and Baptist were excellent. We made a number of stops and tried delicious food. Jesi and Baptist couldn't not have made more of an effort - they were so caring and... More

Prepare yourself to taste 15 different foods and 4 locations. The guide (a chef in a past life) is really passionate and knowledgeable. I wish there were more dishes to try (some of the dishes are actually just nibbles and snacks)

Junie and Kevin were our guides for the night and we worked our way through an impressive amount of great food, and drinks in various locations across George Town over a 3.5hour period, including Penang Road, New Road, Macallum, and Little India. I feel like I missed something out in amongst it all, to be honest we got engrossed in... More

If you are coming to Penang and you're a foodie - you MUST go on this tour! We went on the morning food tour with Jessi and Baptist. They were great guides, so informative and really lovely. We ate a great selection of amazing food, where there wasn't another tourist in sight! They really catered to our needs and worked... More
